Christiansted
& Boardwalk

Christiansvaern

Built by the Dutch between 1738 & 1749 to defend Christiansted against pirate invasion, Fort Christiansvaern’s charming architecture & stunning views of the harbor enhance its historical significance, making it a picturesque destination. Now part of the Christiansted National Historic Site, it features coral stone walls & offers insights into our island’s history. Self-guided tours are available daily.

Shoys beach

Sandy point

Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge is a stunning paradise characterized by its soft white sands, crystal-clear waters, & vibrant natural surroundings, making it a perfect retreat for sunbathers, swimmers, & nature lovers alike. Sandy Point Beach gained fame as a filming location for the popular movie “The Shawshank Redemption,” where its picturesque shoreline served as a backdrop for some of the film’s most memorable scenes, adding an extra touch of cinematic allure to this idyllic destination.

fort Frederick

An 18th-century historic fortification built by the Dutch, Fort Frederick stands a proud protector of the island’s western harbor. Featuring well-preserved stone walls & a charming courtyard, the fort provides visitors with breathtaking panoramic views of the sea & surrounding landscape.
